This is a game about believing something worth seeing was left in the dark, and being eager or stupid enough to go find it.
Created for the One-Page RPG Jam 2025! Inspired by my girlfriend who loves horror movies, my friends who do real urban exploration, and by still water videos on Instagram. Those freak me out.
The jam's theme of "growth" led me to the growth of fear and discovery over a single session. Mechanically, it uses growing Fear to create interesting choices over time, and narratively, it uses the growing numbers of Finds for players to make character-centric epilogues.
This is also my first ever one-page game! I'm so glad that I discovered this unbelievably fun and creative genre just in time for its biggest jam. Happy exploring.
